Late Work Policy

No Late Work.
No Make-Ups.

This policy exists to help you succeed — not to punish you.
Every assignment is available well in advance. Start early and you will never have this problem.

The Details

No late submissions accepted — Once the deadline passes, the assignment is closed. There is no partial credit for late work.

No make-up assignments — Missing a quiz or discussion cannot be made up under any circumstances.

Only one exception: Doctor's note — A doctor's note may be accepted ONLY if it covers the ENTIRE period the assignment was available — not just the day it was due. If the assignment was open for one week and you were sick on the last day, a note for that day alone will not qualify.

Technical issues are not an excuse — Do not wait until the last hour to submit. Canvas occasionally has issues. Submit early so you have time to troubleshoot.
Why This Policy Exists

Dr. Polly sets firm deadlines because in the professional world, deadlines are real. Missing a report deadline at work has consequences. This course prepares you for that reality. Every assignment is made available well in advance — you always have time to complete it if you start early.

Think of each deadline as a professional commitment. Meeting it is part of the skill you are developing.

The moment a module opens, look at the assignments and mark the deadlines in your calendar. Do not wait until the week something is due to start. If you have a busy week coming up, finish your assignments the week before. You have enough time — use it wisely.
